Sometimess in life you know when you have witnessed or seen it. Rosalie was it. The blushing bride with layers and layers of white netting floating in a cloud over and around her. She was the new teacher - but no ordinary teacher - she was a master of elequition.
She could enunciate every vowel and every consonant clearly with her full red lips and tongue. Nobody in our little country village have ever seeen or heard such pronunciation. Every word came out of her mouth perfectly formed - perfectly rounded and the most amazing thing ... every word had a shhhhhhhh sound to it and every word came far back out of a fully formed rounded mouth. Every word shhhhissed and shoooosed and Rosalie became Rossshalie and Pieter ... Pieter became sssssskatebol!
Nobody knew her parents, nobody knew how she came to teach at our little primary school and nobody knew how oom Pieter got shoooo lucky to get married to her today - but there they were. Husband and wife. Dried up oom Pieter and equisite speech perfection, beautifully articulated and beautifully manicured auntie Rosalie. The wonder of it all still astounds me to this day!
