TO HAVE A KETTLE THAT WHISTLES
I have a beautiful white, enamel kettle that you have to heat up on the stove and when it💧 boils it whistles. Everytime I hear that sound I think to myself ... this is the best thing in the world. I think everybody in the whole world should have a kettle that whistles. I think it is so much better than an electric kettle with no sound.
Not everybody understands the slow process of filling up a beautiful potbellied white enameled kettle, placing it on the stove and patiently waiting for the whistle ... no not at all. Somebody came to visit the other day waited for the kettle to whistle and then promptly went out and bought me an induction plate to speed up the process. City folk mostly are in a hurry and they cannot understand deliberate choices some people make to live a slower more meaningful life. My white enameled, potbellied kettle that whistles is just such a choice for me. The time it takes to whistle slows me down and by the time I have the first sip of tea my heart is at rest.
